The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, to which I belong, held a multi-day conference for single members between the ages of 18 and 31. I was asked to help by building a website for them (which was at www.californiaysa.org, but at the time of this writing is no longer there). Later, I was asked if I wouldn’t mind attending the conference, so that I could photograph the events that would take place at the Santa Monica location. I set up a system whereby photographers at the several locations across the state could take photographs and upload them to a Google Picasa account, and created a web page that would automatically pull down and display a slideshow of those images. At the various conference locations we set up TV screens and projectors showing the images that had been shot from all the locations as soon as they had been uploaded.
