This short was shot with virtually no lighting, and basically only one setup. The several vignettes were all rather long, such that if in editing I had used all of them, the movie never would have fit in the rather short time limit required by the festival into which it was being entered. The fact that each vignette was actually one continuous shot posed another problem, in that it meant one could not cut within that shot to a different part of it without causing a jump cut.

The solution was fairly obvious. I intercut the vignettes, using very short segments and attempting to lift as much humor out of each one as possible.
