This was the championship game of the tournament. The Silver Monkeys proved more than anyone could handle. Good work, simians.

Here are more pictures from the June 19th flag football tournament between four wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Glendale 7th managed to defeat the Gators and move on to play against the Santa Monica 3rd Ward Silver Monkeys in the final.

So one of the first things I tried out my Canon 7D on was a couple of games of flag football between members of a couple of Southern California congregations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Here is a gallery of shots from the game between the Santa Monica 3rd young single adults ward and the Westdale 2nd Ward (of which I am a member, though not a football-playing one). The game took place on June 19th at the ballfield behind the L.A. Temple. And despite the best efforts of our very talented quarterback and the rest of the team, the young singles were victorious.

I just got a Canon 7D, and got to put it through its paces working on a little movie called “Late Night Worker.” You can view the movie here. The thing was conceived of and directed by a guy named Kenny McNett. You can check our more of his shenanigans over at his website at www.streetsmartcomedy.com. We shot on June 25th in the middle of the night, and debuted the movie at the LA1/SM3 movie night on July 17th. When Kenny has the movie posted on his YouTube channel, I’ll link to it. In the meantime, here are some photos I shot of the cast and crew while we were getting ready to go make the movie.
